There is an urgent call out for a Location Manager to start ASAP for a 4 x day film shoot. A Melbourne based Location Manager preferred, however it is quite busy in TVC and drama land, so expressions of interest from other states are welcome.

1 x overnight stay in Malden, 2 x days shoot involving exteriors in the main street
5-6 days of studio
There is potential for a Screen Australia location attachment in the coordinator role, but this isn't mandatory if you have other ideas for structuring the department. Give the Line Producer a call, at this late stage you may be able to set your terms and conditions.)

Hi ALMG folks - we are emailing this one just to members.
For those interested and available, there is a potential scouting / fixer opportunity for an Indian company MJ Movies, looking to film in Australia.
DETAILS SO FAR
Company, MJ Movies
Feature film 2hrs 20mins long. 20% is intended to shoot in Australia.
We have been told it is low budget, but they have funds to shoot internationally. ALMG has already suggested incentives offered from Australian states.
Genre - children's movie called "The Nest."
Real title - Koodu (Malayalam- regional language)
The type of locations they are looking for: School, Church, Airport, Restaurants, Park, Highway, Countryside, Picnic Spot etc..
Payment - file pull or scouting day rate. Email them to discuss.
They intend to bring the director and technical team out for surveys, then once locations are confirmed, they will bring out the required crew for the second phase.
Looking at the South and East Coast - "Victoria, Adelaide/ South Australia, NSW or Queensland - areas with a concentration of malayalee people."
For pre and filming they will need assistance with vehicles, a location guide, assistants for shooting and potentially equipment sourcing.

Chinese company. Producer / Fixer is Mimi Fox Lui, who often works in Australia.
Chris Tangey LM from NT is doing some early pre and has worked with the company before.
Shoot Date - starting around 17-19 Feb
Duration - Approx 4 x shoot days
Production budget - Low to mid
Content notes - singer, 3 x dancers, approx 10 crew (predominantly Chinese.) Some challenging scenes such as rock climbing. Potential permits for national parks... they may need some NSW assistance with what is achievable.
Required - scouting / permitting / on set / general support.

ABOUT THE FEATURE FILM ‘THE FOX’
The dark satire follows Nick (Courtney), a vain heir to a vineyard dynasty who upon discovering his fiancé (Clark) is cheating on him, decides he wants nothing more than to avoid embarrassment and get the issue resolved.
In his desperation, he follows the advice of a rogue fox, who promises that his doomed relationship will be fixed if he pushes his loved one into a magic hole that has the power to transform flawed people into perfect partners.
The woman who re-emerges seems to be everything he ever wanted, until her strange new quirks lead him to question his decision.
