Membership Fees as of 1 January 2026

Membership with the Australian Locations Manager Guild (ALMG) is about professional standing, connection, and contribution.

ALMG brings together location professionals, productions, and industry partners who are committed to best practice, collaboration, and the responsible delivery of screen production across Australia. Membership recognises experience, supports ongoing professional connection, and provides a forum to contribute to the future of location management nationally.

All memberships are by application and approval to maintain professional standards.

ALMG Membership Application

All applications are reviewed by the Guild National Executive Committee to confirm eligibility and the appropriate membership category. Once approved, an invoice is issued. Membership is confirmed upon receipt of payment.

As part of the joining process, you will also need to fill out a short form, so we have an understanding about your industry experience. Our National Executive Committee will then review your application.

For Locations Professionals

Full Location Member

$120.00 annually

For experienced Locations professionals working in senior and operational roles across film, television and screen production. Provides full access to the ALMG Members Hub, professional resources & best practices, state information, member directory, Industry Research, and job notices, plus events and the quarterly newsletter. Includes a $20 one-off joining administration fee. Annual membership fee: $100. Full Members have voting rights and may hold committee or leadership roles within ALMG.

Active Locations Member

$80.00 annually

For people actively working in the Locations Department who are developing experience, credits and professional capability. This membership provides access to the ALMG Members Hub, Locations professional practice information, Guild communications, selected events and the quarterly newsletter, with limited access to working resources. Active Locations Members may volunteer on ALMG committees as they progress within the department.

Emerging Locations Member (previously Apprentice)

$60.00 annually

For people who are new to the Locations Department and beginning their pathway into professional location work. This includes students, trainees, and adults transitioning into the department. This membership provides access to the ALMG Members Hub, role overviews, professional practice information, Guild communications, selected events and the quarterly newsletter. It is designed as an entry pathway and does not include access to practitioner-only resources or the members directory.

For Industry & associated Professionals:

Associate Industry Member

$80.00 annually

For individuals or organisations who work alongside the Locations Department or support screen production in a professional capacity, but are not Locations practitioners. This membership provides access to the ALMG Members Hub, Guild communications, invitations to selected events and briefings, and the quarterly newsletter. It supports industry connection and collaboration while preserving the professional role and responsibilities of the Locations Department.

Honorary Industry Member

$50.00 annually

For industry stakeholders, organisations and supporters who are involved in, work alongside, or engage with the screen industry and wish to maintain an informed connection with ALMG. This membership provides access to the ALMG Members Hub, Guild communications, invitations to selected events and briefings, and the quarterly newsletter. It is intended to support engagement, awareness and collaboration with the Locations Department, rather than professional Locations practice.
